Sheldon Stovall

Hello and welcome! I help adolescents and adults across Connecticut who are ready to move from just surviving to actually feeling better.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like you’re carrying more than you can handle. You’re not alone. Many people reach out when anxiety won’t quiet down, stress feels constant, or they no longer feel like themselves.

You might be:

  • Overthinking and unable to relax

  • Feeling emotionally drained or unmotivated

  • Struggling to manage stress or daily responsibilities

  • Navigating a life change and feeling uncertain

  • Trying to maintain recovery while managing everything else

  • Feeling triggered, reactive, or out of control emotionally

  • Carrying past experiences that still affect you today

Together, we focus on helping you:

  • Feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions

  • Develop coping strategies that work in real life

  • Reduce anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm

  • Build confidence and a stronger sense of self

  • Create meaningful, lasting changes in your life

I am a compassionate clinician with experience working in outpatient mental health, community-based settings, and both individual and group therapy. I have supported clients from diverse backgrounds facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance use and recovery, trauma, and major life transitions.

My approach is down-to-earth, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I use practical, evidence-based strategies tailored to your needs, while creating a space where you can feel heard, understood, and respected.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you’re ready for things to feel different, I’m here to support you.
